Nobel & Hug Attorneys at Law, Zurich, merge with Baudenbacher Law Ltd.

Nobel & Hug Attorneys at Law, Zurich, and Baudenbacher Law Ltd., Zurich/Brussels, are pleased to announce that as of 1 January 2022 they will be joining forces as Nobel Baudenbacher Attorneys at Law, Zurich/Brussels. The new firm will be headquartered in Zurich with offices in Brussels, and will cover the whole breadth of Swiss, European, and international business law.

Nobel & Hug Attorneys at Law was founded in 1982 in Zurich by Professor Dr. Peter Nobel, a leading specialist in national and international Swiss commercial law with extensive expertise in Swiss and European corporate, banking and stock exchange, and finance and capital markets law.

Baudenbacher Law Ltd. was founded in May 2021 by Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Carl Baudenbacher and Dr. Laura Melusine Baudenbacher in Zurich and Brussels. Carl Baudenbacher is an internationally renowned expert on European, Swiss, and international business law (in particular EU, EEA, economic human rights, and Swiss business law) and a former President of the EFTA Court. Laura Melusine Baudenbacher was an attorney for several years in the Brussels and Cologne offices of two major US and UK law firms, advising European, US, Russian, and Asian clients on Swiss, German, and EU/EEA competition law, EU banking law, and Swiss private and administrative law.

The new Nobel Baudenbacher team consist of highly experienced lawyers active in all areas of business law, notably contract law, tort law including product liability law, corporate, finance and capital markets law, Swiss and European antitrust law, European internal market law, economic human rights law, intellectual property law, and art law. Our lawyers are admitted to the bars in Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, and the State of New York and represent clients before Swiss and European authorities and courts including the European Commission, the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union as well as the European Court of Human Rights.
